The Mistletoe Promise – Aria Grace & Lorelei M. Hart

“Maybe I’ll see you here again next Christmas.”

In a word: Read the thing. This is sweet and adorable. Though I will say that I didn’t expect the story to go on as long as it did, considering the summary. Everett and Graham meet by chance in a crowded restaurant on Christmas Eve. Graham has just been stood-up by his blind date, and Everett is in the process of being denied a table; Graham invites him to have dinner with him. What follows is Everett and Graham spending hours together just eating, talking, and generally having a great time. But Everett is three months pregnant and wants to put all his focus on his baby, and Graham isn’t looking for a relationship, so they part ways at the end of the night, but they both feel something between them that has them promising to meet up next Christmas when they’re sure to be in a better place to start something. Surprisingly, the story doesn’t immediately skip to next Christmas after that. Instead we get to learn more about Everett and Graham and who they are as people before they meet again. And then the story continues on even after that, which was a nice surprise. The whole story was pretty sweet, even the sexy bits, and Everett and Graham were perfect for each other. Their initial connection was believable and their pining and eventual reunion were great. It doesn’t take place solely at Christmastime, but the more important and heartwarming moments took place around the holiday season, which I found added an extra layer to everything. Very good story full of warm feelings and happily ever after.

The Summary: (from Goodreads) One Kiss. One Promise. The Magic of Christmas.
Omega Everett is ready to be a father. He has a decent job, a nice place to live, and so much love to give. With no delusions of finding the perfect alpha and living happily ever after, he decides to take matters into his own hand—or test tube, anyway—with the help of a fertility clinic. On the day he finally gets the amazing news he’s going to be a father, the rest of his world collapses as his company shuts down.

Everett’s life quickly turns around as he moves to a new city with an amazing new job just as the holiday season begins. Determined to maintain his family’s tradition of going out to eat on Christmas Eve, he heads to a place recommended by his phone, only to find himself arguing with the maître d over getting a table for one.

Alpha Graham’s dating life had somehow been reduced to blind dates set up by his brother, of all people. When his Christmas Eve date cancels at the last minute, he decides to make the most of it, grabbing a drink at the bar of the up-and-coming restaurant—at least until he sees a hot omega being turned away. He can’t let the omega eat alone on Christmas Eve, so he steps in.

Sparks fly between the two and the evening ends with a kiss under the mistletoe, sealing their promise to meet again in a year’s time, when both men might be in a better place to start something more than a hook-up.

The magic of Christmas is sealed with a mistletoe kiss leads the men on a journey to find themselves and their happily ever after.

Promise Under the Mistletoe is a super-Hallmarky-sweet with-knotty-heat non-shifter Mpreg Christmas Romance complete with a sweet baby, mistletoe, and a trip to see Santa.
